Dragon River Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan

Chen style Tai Chi classes focussing on various aspects depending on the class:
1. Nottingham - Tai Chi for health, fitness and self defence: Monday evenings, at the Arnold Hill Lower school gym, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 6NZ

2. Stonebroom - Tai Chi for health, fitness and relaxation: Tuesday mornings, 10-11:30am at the Stonebroom Community centre, Quarry road, Stonebroom, Derbys. DE55 6LJ

3. Alfreton - Tai Chi for health, fitness and relaxation: Tuesday afternoons, 1:30-2:30pm at the Alfreton Community Hall, Mansfield road, Alfreton, Derbys DE55 7JJ

Depending on the class, some or all of the following are taught- Chen Foundation form, Chen 18 posture form, Liao Jia form, Pao Chui fast form, Sin Jia form, short staff, sword and sabre forms. Push hands, applications, chi kung, meditation.

Classes are relatively informal, relaxed and have an emphasis on enjoying learning the principles and practice of Tai Chi.

Friday evening class to chill out & get energised for the weekend - a little relaxation, a few breathing exercises, a bit of Form based exercise, maybe some partner work & possibly some self defence applications, followed by meditation. Hopefully we'll cover a bit of everything, depending on who's there & what we decide to do.
