Cheng Man Ching’s Eight Exercises for Health

This set was taught by Professor Cheng Man-ching in New York City between 1965 and 1974 and transmitted by Tam Gibbs.

It was developed to improve balance with moves taken from tai chi form and practiced walking. I generally teach this set for falls prevention due to its focus on improving proprioception and kinaesthetic awareness.

Its gentle nature makes it accessible to all.

The day will be taught live on zoom and recorded for the participants to keep. Training notes will be emailed out in advance of the workshop.
