New Board Director Appointed

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Roberts as Marketing & Public Relations Director for the Union.  Paul is an experienced Content and Communications Manager and is stepping up from his Support Team role as Communications Manager for the Union which was advertised last year.

Paul’s response to the advertisement highlighted skills the Union was in much need of and he has impressed the Board with his contributions, quality and amount of work he is doing as well as his proactive suggestions and support.

Our intention with the Support Team is to share the load for doing the work and perhaps enable succession planning for the Board which has been the case here.

Once Paul has had time to settle into his current position, there can be further thought about the support he would like for the future as the Union evolves and its needs change as a result.

The appointment of Paul means we have a full complement of directors with clear responsibilities and recent, relevant experience necessary for their roles. The Board comprises:

• Health & Research: Dr Ben Morris
• Operations: Roy Williams
• Finance: Peter Ballam
