We are building on the digital proof of membership already available for Instructors. When the website was introduced earlier this year, each listed Instructor was given their own web page on our site (in a standard format). There has been great feedback about how useful this is for proving Instructors are registered with the Union even if members do not wish to list their classes or contact details.
After much testing of various options, we are now trialing automated electronic renewals sending an email and, for Instructors, electronic (PDF) certificate when a member renews. By dispensing with letters and membership cards, we reduce our environmental impact and costs. It is also cheaper for those members who used to pay for a certificate. Hard copy certificates are still available at the reduced cost of £10 each.
Early trials for this new renewals process are going well and feedback has been positive. If this continues, this will be rolled out for all members on their renewal. If your renewal is due soon, look out for our email and let us know what you think!
